Light roasts: why Colombian coffee shines

A light roast keeps the acids and aromas the farm worked so hard to build. A dark roast covers them with smoke and bitterness.

Why it works

Light does not mean sour: a good light roast is sweet, juicy and clean. If it tastes grassy, it was underdeveloped, not too light.

Step by step

  1. Look for the roast date, not the expiry date.
  2. Rest the beans 7–10 days before brewing.
  3. Grind just before brewing, always.

Roasting should reveal, not hide.
