Coffee regions of Colombia, explained in one map

Colombia has two harvests a year in many regions, thanks to its position near the equator and its three mountain ranges. That means fresh coffee almost all year round.

Why it works

North, in the Sierra Nevada and Santander, the cups are rounder with chocolate and nuts. South, in Huila, Cauca and Nariño, they become brighter, fruitier and more floral.

Step by step

  1. North: chocolate, nuts, round body.
  2. Centre (Eje Cafetero): caramel and balance.
  3. South: red fruit, citrus, flowers.

Every valley tells a different story.
